The project combats illegal logging through use of tree recognition technology which enables the organization to trace the origin of each tree. This tool can help to stop the trade of illegally worked and stolen wood and raise awareness among the consumers on the origin of trees. Pallisco is a Cameroonian forest company working with concessions in Cameroon. They operate a total of 7 Forest Management Units on an area of 388,000 ha for an annual production of 110,000 m3 for logs and 30,000 m3 for sawn timber. Pallisco is FSC and OLB certified. Tracy of Sweden is a Swedish start up in the field of forestry and digitalization. The purpose of its innovation is to make traceability and identification of the origin of traded timber more accurate and affordable for all.
