Bearing the concept that “Lucid Waters and Lush Mountains are Invaluable Assets” in mind, efforts have been made to address issues of pollutions by deepening the construction of ecological civilization. In this regard, the Chinese government has adopted series of measures that have positive effect, including establishing China National Committee for Biodiversity Conservation and China National Biodiversity Conservation Strategy and Action Plan, developing China’s target system and action plans for biodiversity conservation, identifying and strictly observing ecological red lines and priority areas for biodiversity conservation. Efforts have also been made to improve the working mechanism of biodiversity conservation, conduct biodiversity surveys, observations and assessments. In 2019, China has also launched an initiative in jointly building Green Silk Road, including establishing BRI International Green Development Coalition and BRI Environmental Bid Data Platform, developing the Green Silk Road Envoys Program and South-South Cooperation for Addressing Climate Change. In 2020, COP15 to the Convention on Biological Diversity will be held in China. China will work with other countries to develop the Post-2020 Biodiversity Framework, making contribution to the global biodiversity and our planet so that we can build a community with a shared future and safeguard world peace.
