Transparency in reconstruction

FFM’s website´s platform has become an example of transparency both on a national and international level. It was presented as a success story in the 73rd General Assembly of the United Nations in the Panel “Partnering with the Private Sector: How Data can improve Humanitarian Response.” This is a completely new approach to track and follow up donations in Mexico, and potentially in the rest of the world. FFM’s approach to transparency gives its donors complete confidence in the fact that they can see exactly what every peso is being used in. It is a perfect example of how technology is being used to improve transparency, and therefore, confidence in the destiny of all donations given to this cause. FFM’s website is the tool in which all its transparency, accountability and follow up can be monitored by anyone in the world. While it can be considered that transparency and accountability are no longer issues in many developed countries, in countries such as Mexico, they remain complex issues that are dealt with daily. FFM believes that its transparency mechanism is completely revolutionary for the country and that it could be taken as an example for other entities who have societies´ demand to be more transparent.
