This project aims at empowering and strengthening the capacity of marginalized women to develop skills to earn a sustainable income through technology and to build their capacity to become changemakers in their communities. The project focuses on making the digital economy work for women’s economic empowerment. The main objective of the project is to empower marginalized women (women living in poverty, survivors of gender-based violence, and women living with disabilities) who have no sustainable source of income to develop skills to enable them become self-dependent, earn a sustainable income and become changemakers who empower other women in their communities. Selected participants gain digital skills in graphic design, website building and animation, and leadership skills that enable them to start their own small businesses or get better employment leading to more productive lives.
