Overview

Red VIRAL is a national network that operates actively in art, sports, culture, and youth empowerment, engaging with vulnerable communities and other projects focused on social prevention of violence and delinquency.
 
In collaboration with The World Boxing Council (WBC), an international professional boxing organization, they implement “Knockout”, a tertiary prevention model in prisons, that contributes to an effective social reintegration of inmates, through the practice of sports.

 

 

Project's trajectory over past year

Over the past year, through the SCUP Program and with guidance from two high-level mentors, we have made significant progress.
 
Knockout gained visibility and built strategic alliances with private and international sectors, securing donations from companies like Yves Rocher, EDF France, AXA, and Martí.
 
With support from UNODC and the Mexican Olympic Committee, we showcased our approach on global platforms, including the UN General Assembly. Additionally, we hosted a Forum to present our results and engage new partners for further program expansion.

 

Impact

  • 90% of beneficiaries have overcome addictions
  • 100% of beneficiaries enhanced both their self-esteem and their family and peer relationships
  • 95% reduction in negative emotions, depression and stress among participants in early evaluations
