Strengthening African Media

The project ensures citizens in Sub-Saharan Africa have access to accurate, independent information and diverse opinions from quality, professional media sources to make informed decisions and strengthen the democratic process. It aims to ensure media professionals are safer, media organizations adapt for sustainability, that there is a diversity of content and opinions, and that media are socially impactful. Activities ensure media professionals are better protected against physical and online threats; provide tools and management capacities to produce public interest reporting, and increase the media's ability to advocate for greater freedoms.
