The project "Good governance and participatory democracy in Guatemala" is implemented by the Terre des Hommes France NGO, in partnership with the Tzuk Kim Pop Movement, and with the financial support of AFD. The project seeks to promote the participation of young people and women in local social and political life to encourage them to become actors of development and change. It uses participatory democracy as a vehicle for economic, social and cultural rights for the benefit of an indigenous population that remains highly discriminated against. It focuses on young people and women, who are at the heart of Terre des Hommes France's initiatives, but also involves authorities and decision-makers at all levels (municipal, departmental, and regional).
