The Open Government Partnership, a global multi-stakeholder partnership, brings together government reformers and civil society leaders to create action plans that make governments more inclusive, responsive and accountable. Since it was founded in 2011, OGP has grown from 8 to 79 OGP participating countries, 20 local governments and thousands of civil society representatives that have co-created over 3,100 commitments to make their governments more open, transparent, and accountable to citizens. OGP has become the foremost global forum for advancing transparency, accountability, and public participation in government. Participation in OGP grants access to a global community of government reformers, civil society leaders, international organizations, and other stakeholders that work together to develop and implement ambitious open government reforms that have a positive impact in the lives of all citizens.
