Le Traité d’interdiction sur les armes nucléaires – instrument de Paix !

On the ashes of the Second World War, the United Nations was built with the aim of maintaining international peace and security. With this in mind, its very first resolution (24 January 1946) was aimed at banning and eliminating nuclear weapons. Seventy-three years later, the international community continues to face international security problems and the existence of nuclear arsenals around the world remains apparent. ICAN France and its member associations have provided and hosted conferences, expertise, meetings, publications, field actions to a multiplicity of actors (citizens, parliamentarians, college students, high school students, students, journalists, diplomats etc), and have developed many tools and skills to support dialogue and education on disarmament and nuclear non-proliferation. This project is therefore aimed at all the members of the public who are likely to be in attendance during the 3 days of the Paris Peace Forum. It will seek to inform them about the danger of nuclear weapons as well as to how to advocate for a world without nuclear weapons with the hopes of strengthening international security.
