Coordinated covid recovery

Building on a pre-existing partnership between the UN, EU and WB, COVID-19 Recovery Needs Assessments (CRNAs) provide a macro, meso and micro level analysis and develops prioritized recovery needs with costs under a coordinated and government-owned process. This can ensure alignment of the development community behind one comprehensive government-wide strategy which can be converted to common planning and financing outcomes. It also includes a focus on identifying and addressing drivers of conflict and ensuring conflict sensitivity. The most recently finalized CRNA was in Ecuador, conducted under the leadership of the Government and assessing the economic effects and social and human impact of the pandemic in 16 sectors. The findings are further used to formulate a comprehensive recovery strategy and formulate recovery programs with the support of the international partners.
