This project aims to end gender-based violence (GBV) and improve access to economic opportunities for women using an innovative behavior change (BC) methodology. It targets marginalized rural communities in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Nepal to empower women in these communities to apply the behavior change methodology themselves. It runs from 2017 to 2022. Key partners are grassroots women-led organizations (implementers), the Centre for Behaviour Change (CBC) at University College London (technical partner), and local stakeholders. Achievements to date include the approval of a sexual/GBV policy in Kenya bringing resources to survivors; reduced harassment of women on public transport; improved women's resilience against the economic effects of Covid-19; a behavior change field guide explaining the methodology; and broader uptake of the methodology.
