Our Events
Mobilizing stakeholders for collective action
Every year in November, the Paris Peace Forum puts global governance on the international agenda by convening heads of state, leaders of international organizations and companies, as well as civil society organizations from all corners of the world. We also hold an annual Spring Meeting, generally taking place in May-June, aiming to work towards concrete policy goals with our partners while also convening that same wider global community that attends our November event.
Our events are structured around 3 pillars:
- 1. The program with high-level panels and roundtables where stakeholders can discuss solutions to address contemporary challenges.
- 2. A policy platform for launching multi-actor initiatives and coalitions that have a direct impact on global governance.
- 3. The Space for Solutions where selected projects showcase their work and take part in the discussions.
More broadly, Forum events are places for dialogue and cooperation on global governance solutions, and spaces for networking, bilateral meetings, and mediation.
Paris Peace Forum 2024
The 7th edition of the Paris Peace Forum will take place on 11-12 November 2024, at the historic Palais de Chaillot in Paris, a venue directly facing the Eiffel Tower across the Seine. This year’s theme, “Wanted: A Functioning Global Order“, will address the urgent need for effective international governance in a world marked by great power rivalries, global instability, North-South distrust and new transnational challenges.
Spring Meeting 2024
On 10 June 2024, for the first time ever, the Paris Peace Forum held its Spring Meeting abroad, on the African continent, and gathered diverse actors from around the world to focus on the shared North-South objective of “Fair Transitions”.
Paris Peace Forum 2023
For the sixth year in a row, the Paris Peace Forum brought together key players in global governance on 10-11 November 2023 at the Palais Brongniart. The aim of the 2023 Forum was to “Seek Common Ground in a World of Rivalry”, against a backdrop of global polarization jeopardizing international cooperation on issues vital to humanity.
Summit for a New Global Financing Pact
How can we finance both the fight against poverty and the fight against climate change? This is an existential question for both the planet and for peace – and therefore for the Paris Peace Forum. On 22-23 June 2023, the Forum team played a key role in the political, organizational and logistical development of the Summit for a New Global Financing Pact, particularly mobilized to enable the participation of civil society actors from countries from the South and the North.
Paris Peace Forum 2022
For the fifth consecutive year, the Paris Peace Forum gathered the most important actors in global governance on 11-12 November 2022. The Event focused on “Riding out the multicrisis” and preventing a destructive world polarization that would jeopardize the collective efforts on many critical challenges for humanity. This year, the Forum returned under one roof in a beautiful new venue, the Palais Brongniart, gathering those from around the globe to participate in Paris once again.
Spring Meeting 2022
The war in Ukraine and Russia’s violation of the UN Charter has led to a dramatic humanitarian crisis and the largest population movement across Europe since World War II, and already has major global implications. As articulated by the Executive Committee of the Paris Peace Forum in a statement in March, it also threatens cooperation on many other critical areas. In this situation, on 24 May 2022, the Forum held its Spring Meeting on the theme “Preserving global cooperation in times of war“.
Paris Peace Forum 2021
For the fourth consecutive year, the Paris Peace Forum gathered the most important actors in global governance for a unique hybrid edition from 11-13 November to advance concrete solutions to the enormous challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, and to “Improve global coordination in times of Covid-19“.
Paris Peace Forum 2020
In 2020, the world is facing a multi-faceted health crisis with dramatic consequences. It ignores borders and calls for collective solutions. Yet international coordination is lagging, short-term national calculations take precedence and solidarity with developing countries is in short supply. Given the scale of the challenges before us, on 11-13 November 2020, the Paris Peace Forum devoted its 3rd edition to projects and initiatives from around the world aimed at providing immediate responses to the pandemic crisis to “Bounce Back to a Better Planet” after Covid 19.
