The Paris Peace Forum was launched in 2018 with a simple observation: a peaceful world will only be possible through cooperation. Our goal is clear: to reinvent diplomacy in a changing world. By bringing together key decision-makers and encouraging collaboration between governments, international organizations, businesses, and civil society, we ensure that diplomacy is not only discussed but reinvented to meet the demands of a changing world.

The team of the association’s Permanent Secretariat, composed of diverse and multi-skilled profiles (diplomacy, public policy, communications, programming, operations, protocol, etc.), is currently seeking an colleague to fill the position of Digital Communications Intern.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

She/He will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Digital communication support
  • Participation in the development of digital communication campaigns;
  • Design of key messages for social; creation of static visuals and videos (filming and editing), other innovative formats;
  • Working with the rest of the team to manage the Forum’s digital communication channels (creating and updating website pages; managing Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, Facebook, BlueSky, Threads, and YouTube accounts);
  • Monitoring mentions and trends on social media;
  • Analyzing the impact of communication activities;
  • Active participation in communications for the annual Forum (October 29-30): working with the communications manager and communications officer, as well as our service providers, to manage all digital communications (live tweets, Instagram stories, video shooting and editing for Instagram and TikTok, managing photographers, etc.)

 

General support for the communications team (occasional tasks):

  • Active participation in the Forum’s broader strategic communication (brainstorming sessions);
  • Drafting and layout, as needed, of the Forum’s newsletter (Mailjet platform);
  • Preparation of meeting and appointment reports;
  • Creating documents intended for various target audiences (including writing, proofreading and translating);
  • Creating presentation documents and other communication materials and summarizing operations.

 

PROFILE

 

Currently enrolled as a student – Master 1-2 level (Bac +4/5) or taking a year off between undergraduate and grad school and able to obtain an internship contract, with:

  • Specialization preferably in communication, graphic design, social media or marketing, with a real interest in international affairs;
  • or Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, with experience and/or knowledge and skills in the field of digital communication.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALITIES

 

Required skills & qualifications :

  • We are looking for a versatile individual who is curious, creative, and proactive;
  • Proficiency in the fundamentals of digital communication and knowledge of how social media works (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube);
  • Fluency in English and French, both written and spoken (C1-C2 level or equivalent required);
  • Proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Sharepoint);
  • Proficiency in Canva;
  • Ability to provide writing samples (articles) or other work (videos, graphics);
  • Curiosity, creativity, attention to detail, and initiative.

 

Additional valuable qualifications :

  • Experience with an online content management system (WordPress if possible);
  • Knowledge of video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred);
  • Knowledge of desktop publishing software (Photoshop, Illustrator) would be an advantage;
  • Interest in events;
  • Interest in international relations and global governance issues, and knowledge of the main players in these fields;
  • In addition to French and English, the two official languages of the Paris Peace Forum, proficiency in any other language would be an asset.

 

CONDITIONS

 

  • Full-time internship for a period of six months, starting in September 2025. Internship agreement required;
  • Legal compensation, meal vouchers, and reimbursement of 50% of transportation costs, in accordance with current legislation;The Permanent Secretariat of the Paris Peace Forum is located in Paris (15th arrondissement);
