Generative Artificial Intelligence for Agriculture (GAIA) is a project to design a collaborative tool for generating AI agents specialized in agriculture.
The aim is to provide a kit (software + data) with open source bricks, to facilitate the emergence of numerous AI agents in the agricultural world and make the tool accessible to all.
The project is structured around two main components:
- Techno (kit): a foundation of open source digital commons, on which one or more foundation-business models are based, dedicated to agricultural and agri-food topics (a lever for increasing the global interoperability of agricultural data).
- Acculturation: a program to raise awareness and contribute to the identification of business use cases, enabling applicants to be prioritized for integration of their data in the GAIA reference database (a lever for sharing public and private data).
La Ferme Digitale is an association under the French law of 1901, whose aim is to promote innovation and digital technology for efficient, sustainable and socially responsible agriculture.
It has 149 members, including 97 start-ups.
Most of the members of La Ferme Digitale come from the world of agriculture, and share the ambition of supporting the transformation of the agricultural sector through innovation.
The association's values are those of its founders: innovation - transparency - pragmatism.
